About

A club built around runners, not records.

More than a running club, SK BULTA is a community united by the joy of running, continuous improvement and the belief that every finish line starts with the first step.

Our Story

Twelve years. One arrow.

The story of SK BULTA began during the 2020/2021 season, when the world was facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. With restrictions limiting indoor activities and social gatherings, outdoor running became one of the few ways to stay active, clear our minds, and connect with others.

What started as a simple weekly training session group and very soon grew into something much more. Every week, more runners joined, friendships were formed and a strong sense of community developed. We motivated one another, celebrated each other's progress, and shared a common goal - to become stronger runners together.

As our group continued to grow, it became clear that we were no longer just meeting for casual runs. We had become a team. That led to discussions, ideas, and plenty of friendly voting before we finally chose the name BULTA.

The name reflects who we are. An arrow represents speed, determination, focus and constant forward movement - the same values that continue to define our club today.

Why are our race jerseys red?

Our signature red jerseys are more than just a team color. Red represents energy, courage, determination, and fighting spirit. It's the color that reminds us to keep pushing when training gets tough and to never stop moving toward our goals. It also makes us easy to spot at races, allowing teammates and supporters to find each other quickly and proudly recognize the SK BULTA community on the course.

Today, SK BULTA is a growing running community in Rīga, welcoming runners of different ages, abilities, and ambitions. Whether you're preparing for your first race or chasing a new personal best, you'll find experienced coaching, supportive teammates, and a place where every runner belongs.

  • Discipline

Showing up is the skill. Everything else follows.

  • Progress

Small, repeated improvements over flashy shortcuts.

  • Inclusiveness

Every body, every pace, every goal welcome.
